No worries...these days, we all live busy lives and barely have time to just sit back and relax. You hate doing laundry, well guess what we don't. Unlike most mobile laundry services who take your clothes and you don't know who's really tending to your laundry needs, here at The Clothesline, you will not only have the ultimate laundry experience, but you can rest assure you will have the same friendly experienced team members tending to your laundry and giving you personalized service.  


We only use premium laundry supplies and we offer hypoallergenic detergents for those with sensitive skin. No contracts, pricey service plans, or crazy bag prices...


We promise that your laundry will come back clean, soft, fresh and folded.

  • The minimum charge for pickup/delivery is $20 (est. about 13.5lbs). 

  • $1.50 per pound (pants, underwear, socks, sheets, towels, etc )

  • Bed covers, blankets, lightweight quilts, lightweight mattress covers*Add per pound price plus $2.00 per item

  • Bathroom (shower curtains, rugs, toilet seat covers)* For sanitary purposes add an extra $2.00 for a separate washer and dryer.​

  • We offer Plantbased/ Eco-friendly services for $5.00 extra (includes, ECOS or Seventh Generation detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets)

  • ** Please review the FAQ page about pick up/delivery and servicing areas before placing a request for laundry pickup.

You Order > We Collect > We Clean > We Deliver

  • For pick-up service, simply fill out the "Request Form" below. 

  • We also provide the convenience of online billing (which means we e-mail your invoice to you when your laundry is ready).

  • Laundry will be picked up within two hours of the requested time. Pick-up times are between 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (Mon - Thur).  

  • Your laundry will be delivered back to you within 24 hours.

  • For the elderly and those with special needs ONLY, please email us your laundry request if you're unable to complete the order form.                                                                                          



Laundry Pick Up/ Delivery 

  • If you have any special request please add in your order request. 

  • Please specify if you would like hypoallergenic detergent or fabric softener.

  • We ask that you give us an estimate of how much laundry you have. To give you a general idea, 15 pounds of laundry is 3 pairs of jeans, 2 button-down shirts, 2 pairs of shorts,  5 t-shirts, 9 pairs of underwear, 2 towels, and 7 pairs of socks.

  • Please separate and label delicate items as they will be washed in cold water and dried on low or no heat to protect garments. 

  • If you would like your items hung after washing, you may provide hangers (and we hang them free of charge) or we can hang them for you (.05 charge per hanger).

  • Unfortunately, we do offer drip dry or flat dry service. 

  • We do not wash hosiery.

  • You don’t have to be home. We just ask that you indicate exactly where your laundry is located and it is ready at the designated time. We will take a picture and email or text you once your laundry has been picked up and when it has been delivered unless otherwise specified in your pickup/delivery request. In inclement weather, we will leave your laundry in a place where it is least exposed and cover it as best as we can. We are not responsible for clothes after they have been left at your residence. 

  • If your laundry is placed in a basket, hamper, or bin it will be removed and left at your location as we are not responsible for stolen or damaged baskets, hampers, or bins. It is recommended that you place all items in a plastic bag for pickup. (Coming soon - Laundry bags will be available for purchase on our site) 

  • If you are “sharing” an order with someone else, please indicate that the laundry has been pre-sorted and bagged accordingly to avoid mixed laundry. If not indicated all clothes will be laundered as usual. 

  • Missed delivery - If we come to your residence on a scheduled pickup date and time and we can't access your clothes, we will contact you once and wait five additional minutes. If your laundry is not ready by then, you will be charged a $10 “Missed Pick Up”  fee to cover incurred costs

  • You have up to 24 hours to cancel your order. If requesting same-day service, you have 2 hours after the initial request to cancel without being charged a $10 "Cancellation" fee.

  • We provide service to various parts of Montgomery County (Takoma Park, Silver Spring, Wheaton, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, Potomac) and DC (NW, NE, SW, SE) areas. Please email us with your address to see if we could possibly add you to our servicing routes in Montgomery County, PG County and the Virginia areas.

The Clothesline Mobile Laundry Terms of Service 

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry is not responsible for clothing items that bleed, shrink, or otherwise change as a result of normal washing and drying.

  •  The Clothesline Mobile Laundry is not responsible for lost articles unless proven that we were responsible for the loss.

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry accepts all laundered (Wash & Fold) garments based on weight and does not perform a piece-by-piece count.

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry is not responsible for damage to items labeled “hand wash only” or “dry clean only” and is not responsible for checking for these labels in customers' clothing items. Please check before The Clothesline Mobile Laundry picks them up. If you have The Clothesline Mobile Laundry for pickup, please label and identify each bag accordingly.

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry is not responsible for loss of or damage to any personal or non-cleanable items left in the clothing or bags such as money, jewelry, or anything else.  The Clothesline Mobile Laundry is also not responsible for items left in clothing (e.g. ink pen, markers, lip balm, etc) that may result in damage to clothing during the wash. The customer agrees not to leave such items in its clothing or in the delivery bags.

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of items left unattended for pick up-or drop-off. The Clothesline Laundry will take a picture and email/ text the customer when items have been picked up and dropped off. Customers must be available for special request drop-offs (ie. contact delivery) or an additional fee of $10 will be charged for “Missed Delivery” and your laundry will be delivered the next business day.

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry reserves the right to refuse customers or refuse cleaning any item.

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry does not guarantee the removal of all stains.

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry will not clean clothing infested with scabies, bed bugs, mites, fleas, or any such contagious parasites or insects.

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry at its sole discretion may reimburse clients for lost or damaged Wash & Fold clothing in an amount to be determined by The Clothesline Mobile Laundry -  this amount cannot exceed $150.00 in total per order or $25.00 total for every 10lbs of laundry washed regardless of brand or condition. Incoming weight vs outgoing weight is heavily relied upon for ascertaining whether there are lost items or not. Customers must notify The Clothesline Mobile Laundry within 2 business days of receipt of delivery of any lost or damaged items from that particular delivery, failure to do so constitutes a waiver of a claim for any lost or damaged items from that delivery.

  • The Clothesline Mobile Laundry liability under this agreement shall be limited to general money damages in an amount not to exceed the charges for the term of service paid by Customer in the term under which the damages are alleged to have occurred. This liability shall be the extent of The Clothesline Mobile Laundry  liability regardless of the form in which any legal or equitable action may be brought and the foregoing shall constitute Customers exclusive remedy. In no event will The Clothesline Mobile Laundry  be held liable or be responsible for any consequential, special, indirect, incidental, or punitive loss or damages whether or not The Clothesline Mobile Laundry  knew or should have known of the likelihood of any loss or damages. The Clothesline Mobile Laundry disclaims all warranties expressed or implied with respect to the services rendered under this agreement.

  • Customers must pay the invoice charges prior to delivery of laundry. The invoice can be made available prior to delivery via email, or text.

  • In requesting services, you are agreeing that you are responsible for and will pay "Missed Pick Up" and "Missed Delivery" fees if applicable.

  • This agreement and any documents referred to herein constitute the complete, exclusive, and entire agreement between the parties, may not be modified except in writing signed by both parties, and shall be governed by the state of Maryland, The Commonwealth of Virginia, and the District of Columbia, which it operates.
